Site Specific Information for Georgia
ARRIVAL: The housing and registration area is at Oglethorpe House. When you arrive at the University, follow the campus signs, in addition, there are map(s) on the website (http://www.camplan.uga.edu/gis_campusmaps.html) that show the locations of the dormitories and registration building, Oglethorpe House. A printed map of the dormitory area will be given to the coaches at registration.
FLYING TO GEORGIA? Any team that is flying to the University of Georgia, the cost of transportation from Atlanta’s Hartfields / Jackson Airport is $30 one way per person with AAA Airport Express (404) 767-200 or (800) 354-7874.
ROOM COSTS: Only two single rooms per team will be reserved for coaches at a cost of $55. This includes breakfast and lunch on Saturday. There are additional charges for additional single rooms and staying extra nights. Please see the "Georgia Invoice" for these extra costs.
FRIDAY:On Friday evening, there will be one official event, the Coaches' Meeting, which will start at 8:00pm in the an Oglethorpe Hall lounge to be annouced on site. There will be no competition on Friday. There are also recreational activities available, either for free or a nominal fee. Students will have snacks and soft drinks in the Pglethorpe Hall Front Lobby. Breakfast and Lunch on Saturday will be in the Oglryhotpe Dining facility.
SATURDAY: On Saturday, the competition will begin with the Team Round, after which there will be a five-minute break, and then the Power Question will commence. After its completion, all the teams will report to the Georgia Center Ballroom in the Georgia Center. Proctors are to return the solutions to the front stage. The Individual Rounds will begin when all teams are seated. When they are finished, there will be a lunch break, and then teams will reassemble for the Relay Rounds followed by the Tiebreakers and the Awards Assembly.
