Site Specific Information for Iowa
ARRIVAL: When teams arrive, they should proceed to Burge Hall, where registration will take place. One coach registers for all students.
HOUSING: Students will be housed at Burge Hall.
FRIDAY: There will be two official events, the Coaches' Meeting, which will start at 8:00 pm, and a mathematical talk for students and coaches. Details will be provided upon arrival.
SATURDAY: The competition will begin with the Team Round, after which there will be a five-minute break, and then the Power Question will commence. After its completion, all the teams will gather for the Individual questions. When they are finished, there will be a lunch break, and then teams will reassemble for the Relay Rounds. The Tiebreakers and the Awards Assembly will follow.
COACHES' MEETING: Every team must have a representative at the Coaches’ Meeting.
RECREATIONAL ACTIVITIES: There will also be recreational activities available, either for free or for a nominal fee. There will be a room set aside in Burge Hall for students to have soft drinks and some snacks.

SINGLE/DOUBLE/TRIPLE OCCUPANCY: The $55 per person charge assumes a double or triple occupancy room with a Friday night stay. Two single rooms per team will be reserved for coaches for no additional charge. For any additional requested single rooms, teams will be charged $55 plus an additional $11 per room for a total of $66. Teams will not be charged for additional single rooms that arise due to an odd number of students or coaches of the same gender.
PLANNING TO STAY THURSDAY OR SATURDAY NIGHT? If your team plans to stay Thursday and/or Saturday nights, you will be charged for all rooms at these rates:

DEADLINE: The deadline for reserving rooms is May 8, 2009. Exact numbers of males and females must be provided to University Housing at this time. There can be no changes to the number and type of rooms requested and reserved after this date. All no shows will be charged at the above rates.
