ARML has lost a dear friend, a great mathematician, and our Chief Judge. After being awarded the much deserved 2010 Kalfus Award, Leo Schneider left Iowa and suffered a massive heart attack and passed away. Leo was always there in whatever capacity we asked of him - whether it was as a grader, an author, or a chief judge. ARML has lost a good friend, and the world has lost a great plus for mathematics. Leo Schneider left his mark on the world. Our sympathies go to Leo's family. |
